Fostering Innovation and Excellence through Industry Partnerships at IMU

IMU actively collaborates with industry partners to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges, integrating practical experiences into the classroom. The primary aim is to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that foster sustainable engagement between the university and industry stakeholders, enriching the core areas of research, education, and healthcare. By seeking input from these partners, IMU aligns its strategies with industry needs, ensuring the production of high-quality graduates who are well-prepared and in demand.

With this in mind, IMU has entered into several Memorandums of Understanding with key industries in recent months. In September 2024, IMU inked several MOUs with the following Industry Partners: Angsana Health, Axon Medical Group and GoodMorning Global Group.

The Graduate Trainee Programme is a comprehensive learning and development initiative aimed at equipping graduates with the essential skills, knowledge, and experience to launch their careers with the possibility of them gaining employment with reputable companies while still on campus, gaining valuable training and getting an early start on their career development.

The collaborative partnership with Angsana Health marks a significant milestone for both organizations as they unite to offer holistic career opportunities, emphasizing industry-academia collaboration and early talent development for immediate workforce entry.

We witnessed a groundbreaking partnership between IMU and Axon Medical Group (AMG), a leading Malaysian healthcare provider which was founded in 2023 with a mission to deliver innovative, patient-centred care. This collaboration will leverage on the strengths of both organisations, resulting in internships opportunities, student mobility, research partnerships and career talks. By working together, IMU and Axon Medical Group aim to enrich the educational landscape and provide students with valuable experiences.

We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to the positive outcomes of significant collaboration.

We were fortunate to witness and be part of another successful MOU signing ceremony between IMU and GoodMorning Global Group, a leading Malaysian biotechnology company and the country’s largest multigrain producer.

This collaboration will provide learning opportunities for students in IMU University’s Dietetics with Nutrition, Biomedical Science, Medical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Communication with Health programmes.
